Using the Application

Capital Investment Budget is an application that enables you to manage capital budgets. The application is integrated with your Nakisa Lease Administration instance, and automatically tracks expense amounts that increase or decrease the budget.

In order to register expenses from Nakisa Lease Administration, a valid budget submission must be assigned to the master lease agreement. Note that only a single active submission with the same company, year, and investment type can be assigned to a master agreement at one time.

This budget submission is then applied to the applicable expenses of the leases below the master agreement. If there is an insufficient amount remaining in the budget or a valid budget is not assigned, the application blocks the operation in Nakisa Lease Administration. For more information about Nakisa Lease Administration, refer to the Nakisa Lease Administration User Guide.

When you log in to Capital Investment Budget or click Main Menu > Home, the application displays the following landing page. Note that the page only contains information about the budget submissions to which the user has access.

  1. The Main Menu allows users to navigate through the application, including managing budget submissions and modifications, viewing reports, and logging out of the application.
  2. The Notification Center indicates if you have a pending alert.
  3. Displays information about the logged in user, such as their role and which companies the user has access to.
  4. The Pending Approvals chart displays the total approved and pending budget amounts for the five companies with the largest approved budget amounts per reporting currency. Note that companies with small budget amounts (less than 1% of the chart total) are not displayed.
    • Click the currency drop-down to view companies with different reporting currencies (using the exchange rate valid on the current date).
    • The chart can be exported in SVG, PNG, or CSV format by clicking the chart menu
  5. The Action Center displays several tiles that allow you to see objects in actionable statuses.
  6. The Expenses chart displays the remaining amounts for the five submissions with the largest approved budgets for each reporting currency. Click the currency drop-down to view submissions with different reporting currencies (using the exchange rate valid on the current date).
  7. The Notification section lists the pending notification alerts.
