Notifications
You can specify the users who must be notified at each notification event by adding them as a participant to the submission. By default, participants are notified when the submission's workflow step is updated or when the submission is closed. Note that the user who performs the action does not get a notification.
The submission creator, as well as any user who transitions the workflow is automatically added as a participant. Participants can also be manually added or removed at anytime by any user with access to the submission. However, note that the submission creator cannot be removed from the participant list.
Note that participants only determine who will receive the notification (and do not determine who can approve the submission).
To add participants:
- Click Main Menu
> Submissions and open the required submission. - Click
at the top right of the page. - Click
to add a new participant. - In the Participant drop-down, select the name of the participant.
- The checkbox Send Add Participant Notification is selected by default and a notification is sent to inform the user that they have been added as a participant. If this checkbox is deselected, this notification is not sent.
- Click Add. The participant is added.
