About Data Dictionary

The Data Dictionary tool allows users to see important database tables, their fields, and the relationships to other tables. Users can use this information to build custom reports.

Note: This tool does not list every table in the database.

To use the Data Dictionary Tool:

1. Click Application Menu > Data Dictionary.
2. In the Category drop-down, select the type of database table you would like to view.
3. In the Entities list, click on the required table (description : technical table name). The following information is displayed:
   • Database table fields (description : technical field name)
   • Logical Relations: The tables that are linked via foreign keys
   • Relations: The tables that are linked via other tables.
