Lease General Setup

The Lease General Setup section of the master data configuration allows you to configure the following:

  • Document Category: The MLA Document Category field is used for grouping and reporting purposes.
  • Agreement Group: The MLA Agreement Group field is used for grouping and reporting purposes.
  • Contract Category Group: The contract Category Group field is used for grouping and reporting purposes.
  • Partner Roles: Defines the partner roles that are available in MLAs and contracts. Additional roles can be added for informational purposes.

    Warning: The Lessor role cannot be modified or deleted.

  • User Responsibility: User responsibilities are used in the MLA and contract Partner pages, and used in the User Notifications section. The roles that are allowed to perform the action can be assigned to each responsibility. If no role is assigned, then all users will be listed.
  • Form of Lease: The Form of Lease field in the contract is used for grouping and reporting purposes.
  • Principal Position: Indicates the principal position of the contract. Currently only "Lessee" is supported.
  • Contract Group 1: The Group 1 field in the contract is used for grouping and reporting purposes.
  • Contract Group 2: The Group 2 field in the contract is used for grouping and reporting purposes.
  • Type of Lease: Defines the Joint Venture Lease Type field for contracts, and is used for reporting purposes.

To configure the document categories:

  1. Click Application Menu > Master Data Configuration.
  2. Navigate to Application ConfigsLease General Setup > Document Category.
  3. To edit an existing document category, click for the required row.
  4. To create a new category, click Menu > Add.
  5. Enter or modify the required information.
  6. Click Submit.

To configure the agreement groups:

  1. Navigate to Application ConfigsLease General Setup > Agreement Group.
  2. To edit an existing agreement group, click for the required row.
  3. To create a new group, click Menu > Add.
  4. Enter or modify the required information.
  5. Click Submit.

To configure the contract category groups:

  1. Navigate to Application ConfigsLease General Setup > Contract Category Grp.
  2. To edit an existing group, click for the required row.
  3. To create a new group, click Menu > Add.
  4. Enter or modify the required information.
  5. Click Submit.

To configure the partner roles:

  1. Navigate to Application ConfigsLease General Setup > Partner Roles.
  2. To edit an existing role, click for the required row.

    Warning: The Lessor role cannot be modified or deleted.

  3. To create a new role, click Menu > Add.
  4. Enter or modify the required information.
  5. Click Submit.

To configure user responsibilities:

  1. Navigate to Application ConfigsLease General Setup > User Responsibilities.
  2. To edit an existing responsibility, click for the required row.
  3. To create a new responsibility, click Menu > Add.
  4. Enter or modify the required information.
  5. Click Submit.

To configure the form of lease:

  1. Navigate to Application ConfigsLease General Setup > Form of Lease.
  2. To edit an existing form, click for the required row.
  3. To create a new form, click Menu > Add.
  4. Enter or modify the required information.
  5. Click Submit.

To configure the contract groups:

  1. Navigate to Application ConfigsLease General Setup > Contract Group 1 or Contract Group 2.
  2. To edit an existing group, click for the required row.
  3. To create a new group, click Menu > Add.
  4. Enter or modify the required information.
  5. Click Submit.

To configure the type of lease for joint ventures:

  1. Navigate to Application ConfigsLease General Setup > Type of Lease.
  2. To edit an existing form, click for the required row.
  3. To create a new type of lease, click Menu > Add.
  4. Enter or modify the required information.
  5. Click Submit.
