Importing and Exporting Activation Groups

Activation groups can be exported to Excel by all users who have access to the activation group. Only Lease Administrators and Accountants can import activation groups.

Importing activation groups allows users to modify existing activation groups that are in "Define" status during contract inception. Users can modify activation groups by entering the object ID of an existing activation group in the uploaded Excel file. Note that new activation groups cannot be created through Excel import. By default, Excel imports are limited to 2,000,000 bytes per file, and Excel exports are limited to 5000 items.

Tip: If you need an import template, export the activation groups that are being modified.

To export all activation groups to which the user has access:

  1. Click Main Menu > Import/Export Information > Export Activation Groups.
  2. Select the System, Lease Area, Business Unit, and Company Code. Note that you can select a maximum of five company codes at a time.
  3. Optionally, you can use one of the following options to export specific activation groups (based on the filters previously selected):
    • In the Activation Group ID drop-down, select the required IDs (up to a maximum of 100).
    • Select the checkbox Use comma separated text as input and enter the required comma-separated IDs in the textbox.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. When the file is ready, a notification appears in the Notification Center. Click the notification to download the Excel file.

To export an activation group:

  1. Load the required activation group.
  2. Click Context Menu > Export Activation Group.
  3. When the file is ready, a notification appears in the Notification Center. Click the notification to download the Excel file.

To import activation groups:

  1. Perform one of the following actions:
    • Load the activation group and click Context Menu > Import Activation Group.
    • Click Main Menu > Import/Export Information > Upload Activation Groups and select the System.
  2. Click Browse to navigate to your completed file. Once selected, the application uploads the file.
