Using the Icicle Chart

The Icicle chart allows you to visualize the hierarchical data of your organization. It works much the same way as a "tree diagram" or a bubble chart, in that the chart conveys information using levels, colors, and sizes of the sections to indicate the value of the data shown. You can sort what criteria your data is based on, and an explanation of the colors used is in the legend. Using this tool, you can quickly assess any weaknesses on their teams without having to drill down into each section of the org chart.

To set the analytic your Icicle chart uses to sort:

Click the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand side of the screen and select one of the following options:

Performance
Potential
Risk of Loss
Scarce Skill
Critical Resource
Position Layer
Salary
Age
Tenure

To view the Legend:

Click the tab on the right-hand side of the screen. This opens the legend, along with a specific search within the chart itself.
