Exporting and Uploading Configuration

For both application and system configuration, the following options are available:

  • Downloading the configuration templates.
  • Exporting the actual application and system configuration.
  • Uploading configuration files.

Note: If the tables are too large, the full export of all tables in the system may not be possible. Tables with large data can be excluded from the Excel export using the options on the Master Data Export Settings page.

Warning: Never modify column headings before uploading the Excel files. The application will ignore these unrecognized columns.

To download the application configuration template:

  1. Click Application Menu > Master Data Configuration.
  2. Click Application Configs in the left-panel.
  3. Click Download Template to download the file ApplicationConfig_Template.xlsx.

To export application configuration:

  1. Click Application Configs in the left-panel.
  2. Click Download Application Data. The file Application_Config.xlsx is downloaded.

To upload application configuration:

  1. Click Application Configs in the left-panel.
  2. Click Upload Options and select Update or Insert. The upload options are:
    • Load: Deletes all existing records, and loads the new data.
    • Update Only: Only imports records that already exist, and updates them.
    • Update or Insert: Updates existing records, and inserts the new ones. Note that updating records does not include removing/deleting records.
    • Insert Only: Inserts the new records and ignores the existing ones (based on ID).
  3. Click Browse, and select the Excel file to upload it.

To download the system configuration template:

  1. Click Application Menu > Master Data Configuration.
  2. In the left-panel, navigate to System Config > System.
  3. For the required system, click and save the SystemConfig_Template.xlsx file.

To export system configuration:

  1. In the left-panel, navigate to System Config > System.
  2. For the required system, click to download the System_Config_<xyz>.xlsx file.

To upload system configuration:

  1. In the left-panel, navigate to System Config > System.
  2. For the required system, click and select Load for the initial configuration. The upload options are:
    • Load: Deletes all existing records, and loads the new data.
    • Update Only: Only imports records that already exist, and updates them.
    • Update or Insert: Updates existing records, and inserts the new ones. Note that updating records does not include removing/deleting records.
    • Insert Only: Inserts the new records and ignores the existing ones (based on ID).
  3. Click Browse, and select the Excel file to upload it.
