Default Application Roles

The default role mappings available in the application can be viewed on the Role Mappings page.

The available default roles that can access the front end of the application are:

  • Master User (NAKISA_MASTER): Users with the Master role can do all actions allowed by the other roles.
  • VP of Leasing (NAKISA_EXEC): The VP of Leasing role can approve master lease agreements and contracts. VP of Leasing users also have access to all reports, as well as the financial dashboard (which requires an additional license).
  • Lease Administrator (NAKISA_LEASEADMIN): The Lease Administrator role has the power to create and define master lease agreements, contracts, lease components, and activation groups. Users with this role can maintain and activate activation groups, and request approvals for the different objects. The Lease Administrators can also onboard equipment, perform contract and activation group events, as well as perform mass lease modifications. Lease Administrators can update the status of posting documents, and also have access to management reports and certain compliance reports.
  • Accountant (NAKISA_ACCOUNTANT): The Accountant role allows users to approve master lease agreements, define lease components and activation groups, as well as maintain, approve, activate, and classify activation groups. Accountants can perform contract and activation group events, as well as perform mass lease modifications and update the status of posting documents. Accountants also have access to all reports, as well as the financial dashboard (which requires an additional license).
  • Business Owner (NAKISA_BUSINESSOWNER): The Business Owner can assess and approve activation groups, and also have access to all reports, as well as the financial dashboard (which requires an additional license).
  • Management Reporting (NAKISA_MGMTREP): The Management Reporting role allows users to view management reports and certain compliance reports. It is similar to a read-only role.
  • Financial Disclosure Reporting (NAKISA_FINDISCREP): The Financial Reporting role allows users to view all reports, as well as the financial dashboard (which requires an additional license). Note that this role is not affected by authorization profiles.
  • Power User (NAKISA_POWER): The Power User grants access to both the front end of the application, as well as the Nakisa AdminConsole. The Power User has the same rights as the Master User in the front-end, combined with full access to the Nakisa AdminConsole. Note that this role is not affected by authorization profiles (i.e., data scoping).

Warning: Nakisa Inc. recommends using this role only for configuration purposes; it should not be given to any regular front-end user of the application.

  • Power Administrator (NAKISA_POWER_ADMIN): The Power Administrator role grants access to both the front end of the application and the Nakisa AdminConsole. This role has the same rights as the Power User in the Nakisa AdminConsole, combined with a read-only view of the front end of the application. Note that this role is not affected by authorization profiles (i.e., data scoping).

There are four types of Nakisa AdminConsole roles:

  • Technical Administrator (NAKISA_ADMIN_TECH): Has access to the technical aspects of the Nakisa AdminConsole, such as settings, logs, Data and Build Management, various scheduled jobs, Task Manager, RFC Traces, Elasticsearch, and the SAP Posting Bot. This role cannot access the front end of the application.
  • Functional Administrator (NAKISA_ADMIN_FUNC): Only has access to the parts of the Nakisa AdminConsole related to data and configuration, such as settings, logs, Data Management, various scheduled jobs, Task Manager, RFC Traces, Master Data Configuration, Entity and Relation Navigation Tools, and the SAP Posting Bot. This role cannot access the front end of the application.

Note: Functional Administrators can configure data scoping, i.e., which master lease agreements and contracts each user can see, via authorization profiles in the Master Data Configuration.

This role has the same rights as the Power User in the Nakisa AdminConsole, combined with a read-only view of the front-end of the application. Note that this role is not affected by authorization profiles (i.e., data scoping).

Note: Power User and Power Administrator have access to all modules mentioned in this guide, even though they are not explicitly mentioned. For a detailed view of the access rights of each role, refer to the Permission Matrix.
