General Settings

Use the General Settings section to:

  • Select your language options
  • Set the default date format used in the application. Front-end users can set their own preferred date format in the User Preferences.
  • Modify the Master Data Number Range table to use distinct Company Codes or Lease Areas (instead of ranges).
  • Enable or disable Context Security for data (i.e., the use of authorization profiles).

To define General Settings:

  1. Click Application Menu > Settings > General Settings.
  2. Enable or disable the switches and define settings as needed.
  3. Click Save.
Switch Description

Languages

Select the Languages checkboxes next to the ones you want to have available to the users in your organization.

Note: The data will only appear in the language in which it was uploaded. For example, if users access Nakisa Lease Administration in German but the data was uploaded in English, those users see the data in English.

Default Language

Set default Language for application.

Date Format (short)

Select default short date format to be used globally.

Date Format (long)

Select default long date format to be used globally.

Home Page Application Icon

Configure the source image for the icon that appears on the default home page of the application.

Manager Page Application Icon

Configure the source image for the icon for the Nakisa AdminConsole page.

Default size for smart search

Certain drop-down fields that could potentially have a lot of options (e.g., Partners, Company Codes, Cost Centers, and Assets) have smart searches that allows users to easily find values. By default, these drop-down fields show 10 results. To change the number of options displayed, modify this field.

Disable Number Range Company Code Range

The application generates IDs based on the Number Range table. By default, the IDs are selected based on multiple fields, including a Company Code range and Lease Area range.

If IDs need to be assigned per individual Company Code, enable this switch. The application then only considers the Company Code specified in the column "Company Code From", and ignores the field "Company Code To".

If IDs need to be assigned per individual Lease Areas, enable this switch. The application then only considers the Lease Area specified in the column "Lease Area From", and ignores the field "Lease Area To".

Enable Data Security for MLA and Contract

By default, each user has an authorization profile assigned to control the data they can see in the application (i.e., context security or data scoping). Disable the switch to allow all users to see all data for master agreements and contracts (as well as lease components and activation groups, depending on the method through which they are accessed).

Enable Data Security for Lease Component and Activation Group By default, each user has an authorization profile assigned to control the data they can see in the application (i.e., context security or data scoping). Disable the switch to allow all users to see all data for lease components and activation groups (depending on the method through which they are accessed).

Enable Global Asset Tracker

Enable this switch to enable the Global Asset Tracker (map and report). This switch is disabled by default.

Enable One-Step Approval in Batch Management Enable this switch to enable the One-Step Approval batch in Batch Management for Master and Power Users. This switch is disabled by default.
Enable Activation Group Approval for Accountant Users Enable this switch to allow users with the Accountant role to approve at the activation group level. As a result, users can individually approve activation groups, perform Mass Lease Modifications, and run Approve and One-Step Approval batch actions on activation groups in Batch Management. This switch is disabled by default.
