Filter Panel

Filters can be created and applied to custom dashboards by using the filter panel. By default, a custom dashboard will not have any filters defined in the filter panel.

To reveal or hide the filter panel, click Toggle Filter Panel on the upper left side of the dashboard.

To customize the filter panel:

  1. Click Toggle Filters to toggle the drop-down to show or hide fields in the filter panel.
  2. Click Collapse All / to show or hide values under all filters.
  3. Click Reset Filters to clear selected values from all filters.

To add a filter:

  1. Click Add New Filter at the top of the filter panel. The Add Filter pop-up shows.
  2. Select a Field.
  3. The Name field is auto-populated based on the technical name of the selected Field. Enter a different name for the field if desired.
  4. Select the Sort order for the values displayed under the field.
  5. Click Save.

To exclude a filter:

  1. Hover over the title of the filter you want to modify.
  2. Click Exclude Filter . This excludes the specific filter.

To modify an existing filter:

  1. Hover over the title of the filter you want to modify.
  2. Click Edit Filter . The Edit Filter pop-up shows.
  3. Modify attributes as desired. Note: the Field cannot be modified once the filter has been created.
  4. Click Save.

To reset an existing filter:

  1. Hover over the title of the filter you want to modify.
  2. Click Reset Filter . This clears the selected values for the filter.

To delete a filter:

  1. Hover over the title of the filter you want to modify.
  2. Click Delete Filter and confirm.
