Using the Compare Module

In addition to the two-pane mode that allows you view two panes side by side, Nakisa also provides a Compare module, that allows you to add items to a list, then compare their data in aligned columns. You can add any kind of object to the Compare Module, and the data elements for each object will appear in a color-coded column. When data is not available for a certain object, that field will just contain a dash character –.

To add an object to the Compare Module:

  1. Click the Node menu for the object you want to compare and select Compare . (You can do this from the menu at the top of some Details panels, as well.) A new Compare tab opens with the selected object.
  2. Repeat step 1 to add additional objects to the same Compare Module.


From the Details Panel for an object, click Compare .

To add multiple objects to the Compare Module at once:

From Searches/ Mass Actions

  1. Conduct a search , then click the check boxes of the items you want to add.
  2. In the Mass Actions drop-down menu, select Compare. By default, you can add up to 10 items to the Compare module. Anew tab opens with the Compare module.


From the Structure section of the Details Panel :

  1. Open an Employee node and access the Structure section.
  2. Click Compare All in the Reports to, Peers, or Manages sections. By default, you can add up to 10 items to the Compare module. A new tab opens with the Compare module.


To move objects within the Compare Module:

Simply drag the object and drop it in the Compare Module where you want it to be.

To share a Compare module:

  1. Add items to the Compare Module as indicated earlier, then click Share .
  2. Click Copy to Clipboard and Close.
  3. Share the link with the appropriate users as needed.
