About Imports and Exports
Users can import and export the following types of tables via Excel:
- ERP Master Data
- Nakisa Master Data
- Determinations
- Security
Note that when the build is first deployed you will see an import job for "Initial Data" that loads the default data in the application.
In order to import/export these objects, you must create an import or export job. These jobs are then automatically placed in a queue and scheduled to run as soon as possible. The Job Status changes to "Finished" once all tasks in the job are successfully completed.
Note: If there is a service interruption that prevents the completion of the job while it is running, the job status changes to "Interrupted". The application will attempt to recover the job as soon as possible. If the job is recovered, it will resume from where it was interrupted. If the job cannot recovered within the time limit defined in general settings, the status remains as "Interrupted" and you must run the job again.
For Excel imports, the uploaded file must be in either XLS or XLSX format, and can have a maximum file size of 4 MB. These imported files are validated based on the file format and the data. After the file is validated, the data is merged into production data. Typically, if there are data issues with mandatory fields, the object is not created. If there are data issues with optional fields, the object may still be created without that optional data. When there are issues with the import, an exclamation mark appears on the import and job status columns. You can view the list of specific errors in the import report.
Note that the Mass Export and Mass Import pages display all of the jobs that have been run, but you can only download the files and reports for the jobs that you initiated yourself.
Warning: Never modify tab or column headings before uploading the Excel files. The application will ignore these unrecognized entries.
