What's New in Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite

This section outlines the new features and fixes included in Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite 2025.R2.

General

  • Your in-app Nakisa AI Assistant is here - get instant answers about product features and how to use them, directly from any page in the application. Just click the chat icon to get started.
  • To allow users to better use the product, pop-ups can now be repositioned so that information on the page can be viewed and used.
  • In Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite, users can now favorite master agreements, contracts, lease components, and activation groups via their context menus. These favorites are displayed in the Nakisa Product Center for easy access.
  • The Nakisa Product Center now includes two new tabs:
    • Quick Access: Easily access recently viewed or modified objects, as well as access to any objects you have favorited in the application.
    • Documents & Links: Upload and manage documents or external links in a central location. Documents can be kept private for your personal use or made public and shared access your organization.
  • Audit logs are now available exclusively for export in monthly increments, rather than being viewed directly in the application.

Contract Operation and Lease Events

  • To streamline data entry, the Terms and Conditions pop-up now offers two modes: Basic and Advanced modes. The pop-up opens in basic mode, and provides a simplified view with only the essential fields needed to define a standard, straightforward term. Advanced Mode displays all available fields, giving users full control over complex term setups.
    • In Advanced Mode, the fields "Term Start Date" (for terms in arrears) and "Term End Date" (for terms in advance) have been added to allow accruals to be calculated beyond the ROU start or end dates.
  • Users now have the option of defining an asset's useful life in days, and not just months and years. The field "Useful Life (Day)" has been added to the activation group Classification page. Users also have the option of entering a Useful Life of 0, if required.
    • Users have the ability to configure asset useful life in days for asset classes. In Financial Organization Structure, the Asset Class Determination table has been updated with the new column.
  • Many unit fields can now be edited in active activation groups, without requiring an activation group event.

Mass Operations

  • Multiple master agreements, contracts, and lease components can now be copied at once from their respective landing pages.
  • To add clarity, save time, and reduce manual entries, the following enhancements have been made to all types of jobs (e.g., for reports, batch management, and imports)
    • Jobs can now be copied, edited if required, and run again.
    • Users can now easily view the job input fields on previously run jobs to understand what the job was run for.
    • When users select a profile in a job, the profile input fields are now fully visible.
    • Users can now paste a list of up to 50 object IDs when creating jobs (instead of searching each ID individually) in all jobs in Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite, and in the GL Balance Report in Nakisa General Ledger. Any invalid ID is shown to the user.
    • To add clarity to the status of the jobs that are broken down into tasks, the job Status field now displays "Queued" and "Finished". Task statuses are now also color coded to better highlight whenever there are issues with any of the items.
    • Scheduled jobs now generate notifications whenever the job is queued, starts running, and finishes.
  • In Mass Postings jobs in Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite and in Posting Jobs in Nakisa General Ledger, users can now download an error report to see the activation groups with failed internal postings and external failed postings (respectively), which will allow them to better handle errors and make corrections.
  • In Posting Profiles for external postings in Nakisa General Ledger, users can now filter which documents to post based on Accounting Standards.

Dashboards and Reports

  • To provide the precision required for financial calculations, the Weighted Average Discount Rate report now shows up to four decimal places for the discount rates.
  • To help users navigate to the Consolidated Transaction Reports and the GL Balance Report that are available in Nakisa General Ledger, links have been added to the Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite main menu to help users navigate to these reports.
  • Users can now add columns to the landing page tables.
  • Users can now export landing pages, dashboards in the list view, and pivot table charts as JSON files.
  • The dashboard's chart creation interface has been redesigned to enhance usability and improve the overall creation process.
  • The Dashboard AI Agent has been enhanced to include support to build additional chart types, such as pivot tables, metric, bubble, and sunburst charts.

Integration

  • Additional fields such as object names can now be configured on the Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite ERP Field Mapping page, which are sent in internal postings to Nakisa General Ledger.
  • The Lessee ERP Field Mapping in Nakisa General Ledger (for postings to SAP) has been enhanced as follows:
    • The table better identifies which product-specific GL Table and GL Field is being mapped.
    • Additional fields such as object names can now also be sent.
    • In custom mappings, the default GL table and field are now displayed.
    • Multiple fields can be concatenated together and sent in one single SAP field.
  • Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite can now send tax calculation requests to SAP when SAP is connected to a third party to perform the calculations. A new setting Tax Calculation Mode has been added to Company Financial Settings and System Financial Settings to select this new advanced method.

General Ledger

  • To provide better control over access to Journal Vouchers in Nakisa General Ledger, we have introduced dedicated security roles "Journal Voucher Admin" and "Journal Voucher Approver". Note that the roles "NLA Accountant" and "NLA Approver" can no longer create and approve journal vouchers, but they can still view them.
  • Ledger transactions (viewed in Nakisa General Ledger) can now be enriched with additional information from other products before they are posted externally.
    • To fetch extra information from a product, the product integration must be configured in Enrichment Management in Financial Organization Structure.

Configuration

  • In the Expense Category master data table in Financial Organization Structure, the Name field can now be edited for the expense categories that are available out of the box.
  • In the Incremental Borrowing Rate master data table, a new Contract Currency field has been added. Users can now configure different IBR by contract currency if required.
  • In Vendor General Ledger Determination, vendor accounts can now also be set up for payment expense categories (and not just non-lease expense categories) in the Vendor Expense Category Account Mapping section.
  • External posting dates (i.e., cut-over dates) can now be defined per accounting standard in Accounting Standard Determination in Financial Organization Structure. The Nakisa SAP Posting Bot only posts documents to SAP after the cut-over date configured in this table, in Company Financial Settings, or System Financial Settings.
    • The table System Configuration > Configurations > Lease Classification Financial Settings is no longer used.
