Default Roles

Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite uses roles to determine which areas of the application users have access to. User roles are assigned through the Nakisa Cloud Platform.

Users can be assigned more than one role. If you have multiple roles assigned, you will have the sum of all the permissions for each role.

Warning: NLA Security users must create, maintain, and assign Profiles to all users so that they can view data in Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite.

All Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite roles have access to the following:

Use the Action Center.
Access the Audit Logs and export them.
Look at event deltas.
Upload and download files to contracts, lease components, or activation groups.

Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite has the following roles by default:

General User: General users can view, but not modify, application objects.
Lease Administrator: Lease Administrators can create master agreements, contracts, and lease components. They can define activation groups and units, as well as add charges. Lease Administrators can define and modify non-accounting information, split activation groups, as well as view the financial schedules. They can also send objects for approval and perform contract events. Lease Administrators can create and modify their own personal level default field value entries but only view application level entries.
Accountant: Accountants can view master agreements, contracts, lease components, activation groups, and units. They can add Terms and Conditions, as well as modify accounting information, split or revert activation groups, bulk modify cost center allocation rules for units, and view the financial schedules. Accountants can create and modify their own personal level default field value entries but only view application level entries.
Approver: Approvers can approve master agreements, contracts, lease components, and activation groups. They can activate activation groups and units, as well as add and post charges. Approvers can view the schedules and post and reverse payments, accruals, and asset depreciation. They also have read-only access to the Nakisa SAP Posting Bot.
View Journals: Journal users can view, but not modify, master agreements, contracts, lease components, and activation groups. They can view journals for charges, payments, accruals, and asset depreciation.
Treasury User: Treasury users can view journals and the payment schedule, as well as post and reverse charges and payments. Treasury users can also export application object information. They have read-only access to the Nakisa SAP Posting Bot.
Post Accruals and Depreciation: Accrual and depreciation users can view journals and the Payment Schedule, as well as post and reverse charges, accruals, and asset depreciation. Accrual users also have read-only access to the Nakisa SAP Posting Bot.
Batch User: Batch users have access to all batches in Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite. They can create and run batches for all document types, and they have full access to the Nakisa SAP Posting Bot. Batch users can create and modify their own personal level default field value entries but only view application level entries.
Alternatively, the following roles have the same general access as the Batch User, but have more limited access to Batch Management:
- Mass Workflow
- Mass Modification
- Mass Indexation
- Mass Postings (Internal)
Reporting User: Reporting users have access to all reports in Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite. They can create, download, and view the available reports. The reporting user also has full access to the reports in the Nakisa SAP Posting Bot.
Dashboard User: Dashboard users have access to the Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite. They can view default dashboards, as well as create custom dashboards.
NLA Security: Security users have access to Financial Organization Structure and can configure profiles and assign them to all users of Nakisa Finance Suite.
NLA Admin: Admin users have access to Financial Organization Structure and can configure it and maintain master data for the purpose of Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite. They can create and modify application level default field value entries only. Admin users can also publish custom dashboards.
