Lease Determination

The lease determination questionnaire helps determine the lease type. Based on the answers provided, the application displays the suggested lease type on the Lease Determination page, which can be overridden on the Definitions page.

Note that for contracts created via Nakisa Portfolio Management Suite, the lease determination questionnaire is automatically set, but should be reviewed and modified if required.

The lease types are the following by default:

For lessee contracts:
- Lease contract (fixed terms only)
- Lease contract (fixed & variable terms)
- Short term lease
- Low value lease
- Non-lease service contract
- Non-lease contract
For lessor contracts:
- Lease Contract (Operation / Short term)

This page can only be filled out at contract inception, when the Contract Status is "Define".

To fill out the lease determination questionnaire:

Open the contract, which automatically loads the Lease Determination page.
Record the appropriate answers for each question.
Based on the answers, the application shows a suggested lease type. Note that the lease type can be overridden on the contract Definition page.
