Strategic Workforce Planning
We’re expanding our Workforce Planning suite with a new product: Strategic Workforce Planning. Currently in active development, this product is designed to complement our existing Operational Workforce Planning solution by supporting long-term, scenario-based planning aligned with business priorities.
At the core of Strategic Workforce Planning is a guided workflow structured around six key steps:
- Time Horizon and Cluster Selection: Define the planning time frame (short, medium, or long term) and select relevant organizational dimensions such as departments, job families, or regions.
- Current State Assessment: Evaluate current workforce data, including positions and roles, using the 5C framework: Capacity, Cost, Capabilities, Composition, and Criticality.
- Future State Driver Configuration: Identify key drivers, such as supply, demand, and market factors that shape future workforce projections.
- Gap Analysis: Compare current and future workforce states to pinpoint gaps and risks across the 5C categories.
- Scenario Creation and Selection: Develop and evaluate multiple workforce scenarios to support informed decision-making.
- Ongoing Scenario Tracking: Monitor selected scenarios over time to assess outcomes and adjust plans as needed.
Development of this guided workflow is ongoing in collaboration with select co-innovation partners. If you are interested in participating or learning more, reach out to your Nakisa Customer Success Manager.
