About Period-End Balances
As part of the month-end close process, accountants must validate that all transactions have been accurately recorded for a specific period. One of the key steps in this process is generating and reviewing period-end balances. These balances provide a snapshot of ledger account values at the close of a fiscal period and are used to reconcile the Nakisa subledger against the general ledger.
By calculating period-end balances and exporting them to Excel, accountants can ensure that no transactions are missing or incorrect, and that changes made after a previous calculation are correctly reflected.
See Generate Period-End Balances for information on how to calculate, view, and download period-end balances using Nakisa General Ledger.
