Profiles

On the Profiles page, you can configure different profiles that restrict a user's access to data based on Lease Area, Business Unit, and Companies.

Profiles are assigned to users in the Users table, and restrict where they can create objects or view data based on:

  • Lease Area
  • Business Unit
  • Companies (by ERP system)

Note: Profiles are only applied if the user's role does not have the "data-full-access" permission configured. Contact Nakisa Support to verify your role permission configuration.

To configure Profiles:

  1. Click Main Menu > Profiles.
  2. Click to add a new profile, or click to edit an existing profile.
  3. Enter a unique ID and Profile Name.
  4. By default, the Lease Area List Type is set to "All". To select specific values, set the field to "List" and select the required values in Lease Areas.
  5. By default, the Business Unit List Type is set to "All". To select specific values, set the field to "List" and select the required values in Business Units.
  6. By default, the Company Code List Type is set to "All". To select specific values, set the field to "List" and select the required values in Company Codes. Note that this field includes the ERP system that the Company Code belongs to, and can be searched and filtered on either value.

Tip: To select all Company Codes belonging to an ERP system, filter the list based on the ERP system name, and click the Select All checkbox.

  7. Enter or modify the required information and click Save. Note that if you do not specify a specific Lease Area, Business Unit, or Company, then the application includes all of them.
  8. Assign the Profile to a user.
