Org Chart Display Options

The options in this section determine which Display Options switches and display nodes are available and what their default setting is in the front end of the application.

The options are:

  • Vacant Positions: This determines whether the first switch, Hide Vacant Positions/Hide Non-Manager Vacant , will be active in the Display Options panel. (You will have the Non-Manager option if your organization has positions belonging to other positions. You will have the Vacant Positions option if your organization has positions reporting to org units.) Depending on the perspective and the vacancy logic your organization is using, this will allow your authorized end users to display or hide vacant positions in their org chart.
  • Temporary Contracts: This determines whether the switch, Hide Temporary Contracts, will be active in the Display Options panel. This will allow your authorized end users to display or hide employees who are indicated as being Temporary in the Employee to Contract Type table in the database.
  • Contractors: This determines whether the switch, Hide Contractors, will be active in the Display Options panel. This will allow your authorized end users to display or hide employees who are indicated as Contractors in the Employee Class Value table in the database.
  • Consultants: This determines whether the switch, Hide Contractors, will be active in the Display Options panel. This will allow your authorized end users to display or hide employees who are indicated as Consultants in the Employee Class Value table in the database.
  • Assistants: This determines whether the switch, Hide Assistants, will be active in the Display Options panel. This will allow your authorized end users to display or hide employees who have a value of True in the Staff column of the PosDepartmentStaff table in the database.

To set the Org Chart display options:

  1. Set the first toggle to On to make the switch available in the front end of the application.
  2. Set the second toggle to On to make the switch be on by default in the front end of the application. Set the second toggle to Off to turn the switch off by default in the front end of the application.

To set the object expansion limit:

You can set the maximum number of child objects (e.g. positions) to display under a single expanded object in the Org Chart. Use the dropdown menu to select the number of child objects to display. The default number is set to 50.

Note: If the number of child objects exceed the maximum number set, they will be displayed on a different page.
