Mass Export of Data
You can mass export the following types of objects in Nakisa Lease Accounting Suite via the Excel export feature:
| Application Objects | Sub-objects |
|---|---|
| Master Agreements |
|
| Contracts |
|
| Lease Components |
|
|
Activation Group |
|
|
Unit |
|
|
Charges Note that charges can only be imported into activation groups that are not in Lease End or Closed status. |
|
|
Contacts |
N/A |
| Schedules |
|
In order to export these objects, you must create an export job. These jobs are then automatically placed in a queue and scheduled to run as soon as possible. The Job Status changes to "Finished" once all tasks in the job are successfully completed. Note that for certain sheets (e.g., Schedule View Rows, Lease Component Unit Distribution, or Cost Center Allocation), the application cannot get the record count for the export tasks and reports.
Note: If there is a service interruption that prevents the completion of the job while it is running, the job status changes to "Interrupted". The application will attempt to recover the job as soon as possible. If the job is recovered, it will resume from where it was interrupted. If the job cannot be recovered within the time limit specified in Financial Organization Structure, the status remains "Interrupted" and you must run the job again.
For Excel imports, the uploaded file must be in either XLS or XLSX format, and can have a maximum file size of 4 MB. These imported files are validated based on the file format and the data. After the file is validated, the data is merged into production data. Typically, if there are data issues with mandatory fields, the object is not created. If there are data issues with optional fields, the object may still be created without that optional data. When there are issues with the import, an exclamation mark appears on the import and job status columns. You can view the list of specific errors in the import report.
If some objects fail during the export process, the export job continues to run and generates a report detailing the failed objects.
Note that you can only export objects that you have access to based on user profiles configured in Financial Organization Structure.
The Mass Export page displays all of the jobs that have been run, but you can only download the files and reports for the jobs that you initiated yourself.
Warning: Never modify tab column headings before uploading the Excel files. The application will ignore these unrecognized entries.
To run an export job:
- Click Main Menu
> Import/Export Information > Export. - Click
. An Export Job pop-up appears. - Set the Export Type.
- Additional fields may be required, based on the Export Type, such as System or Activation Group. Set the required fields.
- In the Additional Filters section, optionally set the filters for the export job to either "All" or "List". If "List" is selected, the corresponding drop down is enabled and you must select one or more objects from that list. Note that "All" is selected by default.
- To specify a specific list of object IDs, set the Object Type Filter and search for the IDs individually or enter a list (up to 50) separated by spaces, commas, new lines, or tabs. Note that if you paste the list and press ENTER, the matching IDs are auto-selected and the invalid ones are listed under Invalid Pasted Objects.
- Optionally, select specific sheets to export in the Export Sheets section.
- Click Export.
- When the file is ready, click
under the Actions column to download the file. - Click
in the Actions column to view a pop-up with a report of the export job. To view additional details on failed objects in the report, click
on failed rows in the pop-up.

to cancel the selected job. - Click
to view the input fields used for the job. - Click
to copy the job. Note that you have the option of modifying inputs before starting the new export. - Click
to refresh the page. - Click
to customize the columns displayed on the page.
