Master Agreement Workflow

The master agreement (sometimes also referred to as master lease agreement, or MLA) is an umbrella agreement for multiple contract leases (e.g., a line of credit agreement).

Contracts can only be created under a master agreement once the master agreement has been approved.

To set up a master agreement and have it approved, the following workflow must be followed:

  1. The Lease Administrator must first create the master agreement. The Master Agreement Status is "Define".
  2. The Lease Administrator must define the master agreement, attach relevant documentation, and add any relevant partners at master agreement level.
  3. Once the master agreement is ready, the Lease Administrator can click Send to Approval at the top of the page. The Master Agreement Status changes to "Waiting For Approval".
  4. The Approver can click Approve or Rework (to send the master agreement back to "Define" Status). If the master agreement is approved:
    • Approval comments are stored in the Approver Comment field on the Definition tab of the master agreement.
    • The Master Agreement Status changes to "Active".
    • If no contract has been created, the Lease Administrator can click Callback to bring the master agreement back to "Define" status.
