Whats New
In addition to general editorial changes and corrections, this release of the documentation contains the following main changes in the release of the Nakisa Workforce Planning Portfolio 2026.R1:
General
- A new Field Security page has been introduced in the Nakisa Org Chart Admin section, allowing administrators to control access to individual fields across the application. They can define which fields are visible based on roles or permissions, ensuring that sensitive information is restricted to authorized users. This provides more granular control over data access and supports compliance with internal security requirements.
- This page replaces the old Admin > Settings > Global Settings > Field Management page.
- In addition to general useability enhancements made to advanced exports, there is now a new option to copy the chart as an image to your clipboard, and a new setting to set the width of the org chart nodes.
- Multi-currency support and conversion display: This enables global organizations to report and analyze workforce data in multiple currencies, with configurable display and conversion settings that ensure financial consistency and regional relevance.
- To configure this feature, the setting "Default Currency" has been added to Admin > Settings > Global Settings in Nakisa Org Chart.
Nakisa Org Chart
- Nakisa Decision Intelligence (NDI) for Nakisa Org Chart is a next-generation agentic AI platform that lets you securely access decision-ready insights and simulate future outcomes instantly without relying on dashboards, analytics teams, or traditional BI tools. Fully integrated into Nakisa products, NDI is available to users with the appropriate roles and permissions.
- Multi-currency support and conversion display: This enables global organizations to report and analyze workforce data in multiple currencies, with configurable display and conversion settings that ensure financial consistency and regional relevance.
- To configure this feature, the setting "Default Currency" has been added to Admin > Settings > Global Settings.
- Succession and talent pool management: Strengthens talent strategy by allowing leaders to manage succession planning at a pool or group level, helping identify bench strength, reduce risk, and support long-term workforce readiness.
- Succession planning at employee support level: Makes succession planning more actionable by enabling users to view and manage succession plans directly from employee details pages, supporting timely and informed talent decisions.
- Configurable succession management: Administrators can configure and tail succession management to their needs using the new Admin > Settings > Pools and Succession pages.
- Nakisa Org Chart can now be configured with two reporting structures at once. Users can view and analyze the organization through both position‑based and organizational unit reporting.
- To configure the secondary structure, the options on Admin > Settings > Org Chart > Root Settings have been updated.
- Solid-line reporting visualization: users now have two options of hiding dotted line relations to create a simplified organization view with only direct reporting relationships:
- Use Org Chart Options to remove dotted line relationships from the org chart, displaying only the primary reporting structure.
- Use Display Options to hide dotted line reporting boxes, but keep the dotted line information within the primary reporting org chart box.
- Dashboard navigation and hierarchy scoping: From the org chart context menu, users can now open any default or custom dashboard, filtered to the selected node.
- Nakisa Org Chart now supports deeper analytics and customization:
- New employee analytics have been added: Manager Count, Depth, Manager-to-IC %, Employee FTE.
- Position FTE has also been added.
- In Admin > Settings > Org Chart > Custom Analytics, additional position and employee fields have been added.
Nakisa Strategic Org Design
- The Org Unit Reporting Structure is now supported in Nakisa Strategic Org Design.
- A new Data Management feature has been introduced, allowing users to sync their scenario with the latest source system data while preserving existing scenario changes. Users can also modify the scenario key date during the sync process and review differences between source and scenario data, including conflicts and non-conflicting updates.
-
Work areas can now be created within a scenario to delegate ownership of specific parts of the organizational structure to another person. This enables collaborative scenario modeling by allowing assigned owners to manage only their designated area, while all changes remain up to date across overlapping work areas and the main scenario.
- The new Target Summary tab allows users to monitor progress immediately with a target summary view showing all scenario targets and their status.
- Users can understand the impact of a scenario with the new Delta Dashboard comparing baseline data to scenario changes.
- Scenario edits now support mass actions (from both the org chart and directories), which enable users to quickly apply bulk edits, moves, deletions, and clones to multiple nodes at once.
- Dotted-line support for Position Reporting Structures allows users to view and fully maintain these secondary relationships as part of supporting organizational design.
- Users can now attach notes to org chart nodes and make them visible to all users with permissions to the scenario.
- A data refresh option has been added that recalculates and updates analytics, dashboards, reports, and search, to ensure that you are working with all the latest changes (e.g., when there are multiple collaborators).
- Users can now easily identify records with tags on them and build dashboards with this filtered data and export listings with these records.
