Org Chart Settings
The Org Chart settings section lets you enable or disable the different Chart views and filtering options using the toggle as well as selecting the default root for your org chart.
General Settings
The general org chart settings lets you enable or disable the following settings:
- Field selection in org chart options panel
- Enable saving custom views
- Selecting the default chart view for position reporting structures, and org unit reporting structures.
- Show all incumbents: Enable the switch to display the "Show all incumbents" chart option in standard views. If this chart option is selected and there are multiple incumbents, all incumbents are listed by name in the node. By default, this setting is disabled and the "Show all incumbents" option is hidden.
- Manager Inheritance: Enable the switch to have vacant org units (i.e., org units without a chief position, or org units without an incumbent in the chief position) inherit position managers from a parent (or higher) org unit. The application searches upwards until it finds an org unit with a position that has an incumbent. With inherited managers displayed, users will be able to better understand reporting relationships, even when some data is incomplete. Disable the switch to show "No Managers" on vacation org units. By default, this switch is disabled. After the setting is enabled and saved, the org chart updates automatically.
- Display Options: Enable the switch to show the Display Options icon on the right of the chart frame, which allows users to filter out types of org chart nodes. By default, this switch is disabled. The Display Options list can be configured.
Standard Org Chart Settings
The standard org chart setting lets you enable or disable the following settings:
- Employee analytics view
- Position analytics view
Summary Org Chart Settings
The summary org chart settings lets you enable or disable the Summary Chart option itself, and the available views:
- Enable Summary Chart Option
- Employee Summary Chart view
- Position Summary Chart view
- Org Unit Summary Chart view
- Position Analytic Summary view
- Org Unit Analytic Summary view
Root Settings
In this section, you can set the following:
- Primary Org Chart Hierarchy: Select if the primary org chart mode is Position or Org Unit.
- Dynamic Root: Enabling this setting will limit an employees view to only within their organization. If a node has children nodes, the Dynamic Root will be set at that node. If there are no children nodes, it will map to the parent of the node.
- Primary Root ID: Determines the root of the Primary Org Chart Hierarchy. Even if Dynamic Root is enabled, the Primary Root ID is used if the logged-in user's root cannot be determined.
- Secondary Root ID: Set this root ID to enable the secondary org chart hierarchy (which will be the alternative mode to the one selected in Primary Org Chart Hierarchy). Even if Dynamic Root is enabled, the Secondary Root ID is used if the logged-in user's root cannot be determined for the secondary org chart.
