Data Quality Console

The Data Quality Console helps administrators (with full data access) identify data issues that impact the org chart. These issues usually come from your ERP system and must be corrected there before the changes appear in the application. When loading the org chart, administrators may see a message like “some data may be incomplete or have issues." This indicates there are problems in the data, such as orphaned positions or circular references.

To investigate these data issues, use the Data Quality Console to run a report. There are two types of reports available:

  • Standard Data Quality Report: A default report that checks for general data consistency.
  • Customized Data Quality Report: Lets you choose which reports to include, depending on the areas you want to validate.

To use the data quality console:

  1. Click Admin > Data Quality Console. If you are using the console for the first time, you’ll be prompted to start a new report.
  2. To run the standard report, click Start Data Quality Report.
  3. Alternatively, expand Customize Data Quality Report to select specific reports.
    1. Use the toggles to turn individual reports on or off.
    2. Hover over the information icon next to a report to view details about what it checks.
    3. When ready, click Start Data Quality Report at the top of the screen.
  4. The screen initially shows “no issues found” and “waiting to begin report” while the report starts running.
    • Click the gears icon to view Progress Details, which display the status and the areas being checked.
    • Reports run as background jobs, so you can continue working while they complete.
  5. When the report finishes, review the list of identified issues.
    • Click an individual entry to view more details and a clear explanation of the problem.
    • Common examples include missing relationships or incomplete data that must be corrected in your ERP system.
  6. Use the options in the top-right corner of the report screen to manage results:
    • View Report Status: See detailed progress or completion information.
    • Refresh: Return the screen to its original view.
    • Download as CSV: Export the report to share with your data team for corrections.
    • Reset Report: Clear the current results and start a new report.
    • New Report: Begin another Data Quality report manually.

Note: Reports are generated manually and cannot be scheduled. Run them regularly to monitor data accuracy and maintain a reliable org structure.
