Settings

Use the settings page to define application-wide general settings.

To define general Settings:

  1. Click Application Menu > Administration > Settings.
  2. Enable or disable the switches and define settings as needed.
  3. Click Save.

The following settings are available:

Description

Open Calendar Year Range

Define how many years back the calendar pickers will show when users select dates for the submission. Users cannot enter dates that are older than the configured starting year.

Enter a negative value (indicating how many years back should be displayed in calendar pickers), or enter 0 to indicate that the calendar year range starts with the current year. By default, this field is set to -1.

Show/Hide Expense Tag

Enables tagging of expenses. When enabled, a Tag field appears in the Add Expense pop-up and a Tag column is displayed on the Expenses tab of the submission. This switch is enabled by default.

Enable/Disable External Expense Tag

Automatically tags all external expenses from Nakisa Lease Administration with the tag 'External Post". This switch is enabled by default.

The switch "Show/Hide Expense Tag" must also be enabled.

Allow Edit/Delete of NLA Expenses

This switch is disabled by default and expenses cannot be modified after they are created. Enable this switch to allow users to edit or delete expenses from Nakisa Lease Administration.

Allow Edit/Delete of Manual Expenses

This switch is disabled by default and expenses cannot be modified after they are created. Enable this switch to allow users to edit or delete manually added expenses.

Enable/Disable Submission Review

When this switch is enabled, a Review tab appears in the submission that allows users to request reviewers to comment on the submission. This switch is disabled by default.

Note that the drop-down options for the review Status field must be configured in the Review Options table.

Enable/Disable Groups in Profile

By default, the fields Group 1 and Group 2 are only used for informational purposes and are displayed in the Project Groups section of the submission cards. When this switch is enabled, these fields appear in profiles and can be configured to grant or restrict user access based on the field value in the submission.

Note that the drop-down options for these fields must be configured in the Project Groups table.

Surplus/Deficit Percentage

This setting determines the maximum amount of expenses that can be registered against the investment type budget amounts (as a percentage). Enter a positive number to indicate the percentage by which expenses can exceed the budget amounts (allowing a budget deficit), or a negative number to indicate the percentage by which expenses must stay below the budget (resulting in a surplus). This setting can range from -100 and upwards. By default, this field is set to 0.

Note that this setting also impacts whether users are able to activate activation groups or perform lease events that change the ROU Asset value in Nakisa Lease Administration.

NLA Event Reserved Expense Expiry (hrs)

Set the expiry for reserved expenses from Nakisa Lease Administration lease events to the number of hours after the expense is generated. By default, this is set to one hour. The Nakisa Lease Administration Schedule Job "Delete Expired Reserved Expense In CIB" runs once a day by default to delete any expenses that have passed their expiry date.

Optionally, you can click Delete to immediately delete any reserved expenses (both from NLA and manually added from CIB) that have passed the expiry date.

Pulling Notification Interval

By default, this field is set to 20 seconds. This field determines how often the application checks for and sends notifications that appear in the Notification Center.

Submission Year Distribution Range

Configure the number of years available in the Year Distribution pop-up on the submission Investment tab.

Report Year Range - Starting Year

Configure the first year displayed in the year filters in the reports. Enter the number of years before the current year. By default, this field is set to 6.

Report Year Range - Ending Year

Configure the last year displayed in the year filters in the reports. Enter the number of years after the current year. By default, this field is set to 7.

Date Format (short)

Select default short date format to be used globally.

Date Format (long)

Select default long date format to be used globally.

Maximum length of text field inputs

Set the maximum number of characters that can be entered in certain text fields (e.g., Project, Name, User ID). By default, this is set to 100.

Default size for smart search

Certain drop-down fields that could potentially have a lot of options (e.g., Company Codes, Investment Types) have smart searches that allows users to easily find values. By default, these drop-down fields show 10 results. To change the number of options displayed, modify this field.

Show/Hide Reporting Currency Rate Type

Select the types of reporting currency exchange rates that are available in the Select Exchange Rate dropdown in submissions and the Currency filter in reports. By default, Inception Rate, Weighted Average Rate, and Today's Rate are selected.
