General Settings

The General Settings section is where you determine the root of your organization, what type of environment you have, and enable effective dating parameters.

To set the Organization Root Value:

Enter the OrgUnit or Position ID of the node at the very top of your organization and click Save.

Note: If you see an error message on-screen indicating that there is a conflict with the organization root value, that indicates that a different value was entered as your organization root value, perhaps during deployment. Resolve that conflict by clicking Resolve in the error message. This will overwrite the value for the Organization Root with the value you just entered on this screen.

To Enable the Dynamic Root:

If you want your users to see their direct manager as the default root when they log in (instead of the head of the entire organization), move the switch for the Dynamic Root setting to On and click Save.

Note: If you use dotted-line reporting functionality in your organization, Nakisa HR Suite will default to the Functional manager when designating the parent node, unless the user selects the Legal perspective.

To Set Your Vacancy Logic:

You can determine what condition triggers the "Vacant Position" indicator in the front end of Nakisa HR Suite. You can choose to have it turn on when you have a position with no employees in it, or you can turn it on when a vacancy flag comes across from your ERP.

  • Select Incumbent in Position to turn on the vacancy indicator when a position is unoccupied
  • Select Flag based to turn on the vacancy indicator with an ERP flag
