Question:

My main organization is position to org unit, but the structure that I’m importing is position to position. How can I integrate these two structures to distribute the task between my team?

Answer:

When your main organization structure is in position to org unit format, only org unit objects can be assigned to other team members. In this situation, the best way to split the task of integrating the imported position-to-position structure into the main organization structure is through Dropzone. One of the advantages of the Dropzone is that when someone takes an object from the Dropzone and attaches that object to their structure, all of that object’s children will be brought over too.

Question:

My main structure is a Position reporting structure and I need to bring in an org unit structure from an acquired company. Is this possible?

Answer:

In Classic Nakisa HR Suite, position-to-position structures are considered a subset of position-to-org unit structures. Our recommendation is use the position-to-org unit structure as the scenario’s main structure. Our support team will be happy to assist you through this process.

 

Writeback Questions

Question:

I generated a writeback report and resolved all conflicts in the report. But when I commit to writeback the changes, I get an error. I’m using SAP as my backend ERP.

Answer:

The issue could be one the following,

  1. Classic Nakisa HR Suite is not in sync with your SAP system, meaning the data you see in the source structure in Classic Nakisa HR Suite is probably not up to date with your ERP. To resolve this, switch on the IDoc listener for Classic Nakisa HR Suite and run the transaction (BD21) for ALE sync from SAP.
  2. SAP took longer than expected for your webserver (Tomcat) to commit changes, so Tomcat timed-out this specific connection to SAP. This may be due to a large number of change records or a large number validation rules on the SAP side that could prolong the commit process.
