Mass Modifications
Users with access to Mass Modifications can perform the following modifications on multiple objects at once:
- Lease Components: Users can add new Terms and Conditions (including adding Purchase Option and Termination Option terms), or edit existing ones that are not exercised.
- Activation Groups: Users can change the contract rate, modify certain financial fields, and perform a Terms and Conditions reassessment. Users can also reclassify the activation group if it is classified under ASC 842.
- Units: Users can modify the cost center allocation rules for multiple units in multiple activation groups at once.
If a modification fails for any reason, the Draft revision is deleted. If you set up a job that contains both lease component and activation group modifications, note the following:
- The application performs the lease component modifications first, followed by the activation group modifications.
- If the lease component is skipped or fails, then the related activation group modification is also skipped.
- If the activation group modification is skipped or fails, then the related lease component modification is still applied.
To perform a mass modification, you must create a Mass Modification Job, download the generated Excel file containing all of the applicable objects, and set the relevant inputs for their modifications. Note that activation group jobs automatically use the Modification Reasons Contract Rate Change and Terms & Conditions Reassessment. You also have the option to exclude specific objects from the modification job.
Note that before running a job, there must be at least one profile defined.
To create a modification job:
- Click Main Menu > Batch Management > Mass Modification > Jobs.
- Click
. - Select a Batch Size. Note that this field is set to 100 by default.
- Select one or more Modification Types.

- Yellow: These fields are for informational purposes only. If you make any changes to these fields, the job ignores the changes.
- Gray: These fields are optional.
- To exclude an object from the job, enter TRUE under the "Exclude" column on the first tab.
- The "Operation" column will be used in the following manner:

- The column title colors indicate the following:
- Click
to upload your updated Excel file. Once you click Import, the application processes the file and runs the job, displaying all the tasks in the Modification Tasks pane. The Modification Tasks page shows the progress, as well as the result of the tasks. Note: If required, click
to cancel a modification task, which will cancel the modifications that have not been processed yet. Canceling will not delete the drafts that were already successfully created and/or merged. - Under the Actions column of the Modification Tasks click
to view the report of the objects that were skipped or failed, or that were successful with warnings. Note that you can sort the columns of the report.
Note: If there is a service interruption that prevents the completion of the job while it is running, the job status changes to "Interrupted". The application will attempt to recover the job as soon as possible. If the job is recovered, it will resume from where it was interrupted. If the job cannot be recovered within the time limit specified in Financial Organization Structure, the status remains "Interrupted" and you must run the job again.
