SAP Sync Settings

Any table with large record volumes (such as Assets, Vendors, Equipment, Projects, WBS, and Internal Orders) can be removed from the manual Sync process (launched from the Master Data Configuration). These tables can then be synced separately via the Job Scheduler.

See Syncing Systems for information about how and when to sync.

To enable or disable tables in the SAP sync:

  1. Click Application Menu > Settings.
  2. In the left-menu, click SAP Sync Settings under Settings.
  3. Enable or disable the required tables. Note the following:
    • Because WBS cannot be synced without first syncing Project, the WBS table cannot be enabled if the Project table is disabled. Enabling the Project table automatically enables the WBS table (when the page is saved), which can then be disabled if required.
    • To sync Exchange Rates or Alternative Exchange Rates, the Exchange Rate Type table has to be synced first.
    • The tables Cost Center, Cost Center Detail, Controlling Area, and Profit Center (if profit centers are used) must be synced together, otherwise data may be incorrectly synced.
  4. Click Save.

The following additional SAP Sync Settings are available:

Switch Description

Enable All Switches

Enables all of switches on the SAP Sync Settings page.

Enable Old Method for GL Account Names

When this switch is enabled and GL accounts are:

  • Synced manually: the application syncs the GL account names in the logged in language of the AdminConsole (i.e., English).
  • Synced through a scheduled job: the application syncs the GL account names in English.

This switch is disabled by default, and the application syncs the GL account names in all supported and available languages.

Sync All Assets

When this switch is disabled, the application only syncs active assets that belong to the Asset Classes configured in the Asset Class table. Enable the switch to sync all active and deactivated assets. This switch is disabled by default.

Note: To sync assets, the switch Asset must also be enabled.

Purchase Order Sync Date (YYYY-MM-DD)

Enter the date used to filter Purchase Orders during SAP syncs. The application only syncs Purchase Orders created on or after the date entered in this field. By default, this field is set to 1900-01-01 i.e., all Purchase Orders are synced.

Note: To sync Purchase Orders, the switch Purchase Order must also be enabled
