What's New

In addition to general editorial changes and corrections, this release of the documentation contains the following main changes included in the release of 2024.R3:

General

  • To improve usability and increase efficiency, the application menu has been reorganized.

Real Estate Management

  • Nakisa Portfolio Management Suite now supports manual evergreen scenarios (month to month contracts after the contract's end date) for the IFRS 16/ASC 842 compliant mode of operation only.
  • Nakisa Portfolio Management Suite now supports the sales tax functionality for standalone systems (disconnected from SAP). Additional Financial Organization Structure configuration is required.
  • Sub-premises can now have separate occupancies to that of the head premises.
  • You can now export the mass percentage rent export, and download the report from the Mass Exports page in Data Management.
  • You can now create percentage rent charges for the entire mass percentage rent report at one time instead of creating charges one at a time.
  • To facilitate budgeting and planning, you can now create a simulated Financial Obligations Report based on assumptions to predict future amounts for your expenses.
  • Scheduled payments now support receivable payments for sub-leases.
  •  The following enhancements have been made to batches:
    • Batches now show a preview of tax amounts before payments are posted. The tax amounts are then updated once the payments have been posted.
    • The following columns have been added to the batch report to support the tax functionality:
      • "Tax Jurisdiction"
      • "Amount before Tax"
      • "Tax Amount"
      • "Amount after Tax"
    • Batches now display the principal position in the listing page, batch identification, and in the exported batch report.
  • From the Import Report, users can now navigate right away to their created entities by clicking on the associated link.
  • The "Initial Data" import template now supports uploading of location operating cost periods and expenses.
  • The new Notes option for user defined fields has been added. The Notes option allows users to enter large amounts of text up to 13000 characters.
  • The contract summary now displays location vendors and percentage rent conditions.

Dashboards and Reports

  • The following reports have been added to the Reports module:
    • Landlord Listing Report: Provides a list of landlords per location to assist with monthly reporting.
    • Lease Expiration Report: Tracks contracts that are expiring to help manage lease renewals and minimize vacancy risks.
  • Users can now save a defined set of filters as a filter profile. This profile can be easily selected in reports, landing pages, and dashboards to save time on repeatedly selecting filters.
